Delete your Jinni account

You can delete your account and data at any time. Here is how, and exactly what happens.

1.Delete it in the app

This is the quickest way. Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone.

Open the Jinni app and go to the Profile tab.
Tap the settings (gear) icon at the top right.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Confirm. If you have Jinni Premium, it is cancelled first so you are not charged again.

2.Delete it without the app

If you can no longer use the app, email jinnitechnology@gmail.comfrom the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my Jinni account". We will confirm it is you and delete your account within 30 days.

3.What we delete

Your sign-in and your profile.
Your CV files and the text we read from them.
For employers: your company logo, jobs and job images.
Your matches and applications, and every message in them, for both people in each chat.
Your Premium subscription record and your swipe counts.

4.What we keep, and for how long

Database backups, which can contain your data for up to 30 days before they roll over.
Payment records held by Paystack, for as long as the law requires.
App analytics (PostHog) and crash reports (Sentry), for a limited time.
Identity-check records held by our verification provider, if you verified your identity.
